Our client, a well-established business within the Wolverhampton area is currently seeking a proactive and keen individual to join their team as a Night Gatehouse Attendant. In this position you will be faced with a range of duties to ensure all drivers coming in and outside are instructed clearly where to go and ae not causing obstruction to any residential property.
Main job responsibilities:
- Monitor all vehicle movements entering and exiting the site during night hours.
- Verify arriving drivers’ details, booking references, or paperwork before granting access.
- Issue QR codes to drivers upon arrival, ensuring each code is logged correctly in the system.
- Collect QR codes from drivers as they exit and reconcile them with entry records.
- Provide clear instructions to drivers on where to go, how to navigate the site, and who to report to.
- Ensure all drivers follow site safety rules and that any non-compliance is reported immediately.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital logs of vehicle arrivals, departures, delays, and any irregularities.
- Use IT systems confidently to update records, check driver information, or access gatehouse tools.
- Communicate regularly with onsite teams, including security, warehouse operations, and night management, regarding incoming or outgoing traffic.
- Handle radio or phone communications professionally and ensure messages are passed on accurately.
- Conduct basic visual checks of vehicles entering/leaving for obvious damage, seal checks (if required), or safety concerns.
- Operate barriers, gates, or access control systems to safely manage traffic flow.
- Monitor CCTV feeds (if part of the site setup) for awareness of activity around the gatehouse area.
- Escalate unusual activity, unauthorised access attempts, or site risks to the appropriate contacts.
- Keep the gatehouse clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies (QR sheets, logs, stationery, etc.).
- Complete shift handover notes to ensure the next attendant is fully briefed on any issues from the night.

- Experience in a similar role (desirable)

- IT literate (essential)
