Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Sales & Logistics Administrator to manage the logistics of inbound and outbound shipments across the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, schedule, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments across various international transportation modes, including air, sea, and road.
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customers to ensure seamless delivery.
- Ensure shipments are delivered on time.
- Manage end-to-end order processing.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to address order-related inquiries or issues.
- Maintain and update order records in the system.
- Prepare and manage shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Prepare export documentation and manage international courier bookings.
- Ensure compliance with UK and international shipping laws, including Brexit-related requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all freight transactions.
- Act as the point of contact for customers and internal teams regarding freight & order queries.
- Proactively communicate order acknowledgements, shipment statuses and resolve delivery issues.
- Build strong relationships with customers (internally & externally) to ensure high service standards.
- Address issues such as delays, damages, or misrouted goods promptly.
- Produce regular performance reports and recommend process improvements.
- Analyse freight data to identify trends and opportunities for cost efficiency.
Person Specifications:
- Previous experience in logistics, freight coordination, or transport planning (1+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of UK import/export procedures and customs processes, particularly post-Brexit.
- A team player with a keen attention to detail and a strong customer service focus.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities, able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics systems, such as ERP platforms.
