Event Support Staff – Dudley

Temporary | Ad Hoc Shifts | £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting Event Support Staff on behalf of our client, a busy attraction based in Dudley, who require temporary support throughout their busy period.

This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in hospitality, retail, events, or customer service who are looking for flexible temporary work.

This role would suit someone currently studying at college, looking to earn some extra money alongside another job, or someone who can commit to last-minute weekend work when required.

Please note that this is an ad hoc role, with shifts offered on an as-and-when-required basis. There is no guarantee of weekly work, and hours and shift patterns will vary depending on the client’s requirements. Candidates must be flexible and available to work at short notice, particularly at weekends. Some shifts may involve late finishes, so candidates must be able to arrange their own transport.

Pay rate: £12.71 per hour

Location: Dudley

Hours: Variable, ad hoc shifts as and when required

Key Responsibilities:

• Serving customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Handling cash payments and processing card transactions accurately.
• Serving food and alcoholic beverages responsibly.
• Taking customer orders and responding to enquiries.
• Preparing and serving food and drinks where required.
• Maintaining clean, tidy, and presentable service areas.
• Replenishing stock and ensuring service areas are fully stocked.
• Assisting with setting up and clearing down event areas.
• Supporting the smooth running of events and daily attraction operations.
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring visitors have a positive experience.
• Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally.
• Following health and safety, food hygiene, and relevant service procedures.
• Working as part of a team to deliver a high standard of service during busy periods.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, event support, catering, or customer service.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability and flexibility to work varying hours on an ad hoc basis.
• Availability for last-minute weekend shifts when required.
• Ability to commute to Dudley, including for shifts that may finish late.
• Confidence handling cash and processing customer payments.
• A willingness to assist with a variety of duties as required.
