Laboratory Technician
Are you detail-oriented, accurate, and looking to build a career in a technical laboratory environment? We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team, working across both chemical analysis and micro-section inspection functions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out chemical analysis, including titrations, pH measurements, and the use of Atomic Absorption (AA) equipment.
- Preparing, inspecting, and reporting on micro-sections using microscopes and specialised inspection techniques.
- Producing clear, accurate, and professional reports and recorded results to customer standards.
- Working closely with different departments across the shop floor to support quality and manufacturing processes.
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
Working Hours
This role involves rotating shifts:
- Monday – Thursday
- 6:00am – 1:30pm
- 1:30pm – 9:00pm
- Friday
- 6:00am – 12:30pm
- 12:30pm – 7:00pm
Additional hours may be required when business needs demand.
Pay rate
STARTING AT £12.84 – Rising after probation

- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
- Is reliable, motivated, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Possesses strong communication skills and can work effectively with colleagues across the business.
- Is eager to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Can present written records and reports clearly and professionally.
- Has a science or maths qualification (beneficial but not essential).
- Has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (beneficial but not essential).
