Transport Manager
Location: Coventry
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

A well-established and growing food production business based in Coventry is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee and optimise its daily logistics operations.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transport activities, supporting the smooth delivery of goods to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day transport operations
• Oversee driver schedules, routes, and vehicle utilisation
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and food safety standards
• Monitor fleet performance, maintenance, and legal requirements
• Lead, support, and develop a team of drivers and transport staff
• Work closely with warehouse and production teams to align logistics with business needs
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role
• Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• CPC qualification (preferred or required depending on business needs)
