Management Accountant

Location: Lichfield – Hybrid – 1 day in office per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £36,000 – £42,000

I’m working with a well-established organisation to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a key role supporting senior finance leadership with accurate reporting, insightful analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

Reporting to the Management Accounts Manager, responsibilities will include:

•      Producing timely, accurate monthly management accounts
•      Analysing variances against budget and forecast, including income and cost drivers
•      Providing financial insight on income streams and performance
•      Ownership and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations
•      Managing and supporting the fixed asset portfolio and fixed asset register
•      Supporting annual budgeting and quarterly VAT returns
•      Identifying risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
•      Supporting and contributing to finance-led projects and process improvements
•      Driving continuous improvement across reporting, controls and systems
•      Supporting internal stakeholders with P&L, income and procurement-related queries
•      Ensuring finance policies, controls and accounting standards are adhered to

About You

•      Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
•      Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets
•      Advanced Excel skills
•      Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders
•      Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement
