Our client, a leading Original Equipment Manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Machine Operative to join their production team. This role involves operating machinery used in the manufacture of precision components. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machine operation and a proven ability to work to tight tolerances and precise margins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery accurately and efficiently to meet quality and output targets.
- Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures precisely.
- Prepare and check materials, tools, and equipment required for each job.
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as necessary.
- Inspect parts to ensure they meet exacting quality standards and tolerances.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or product quality concerns promptly.
- Comply fully with all company health, safety, and welfare procedures.
- Operating a crane to move products across the workshop.
- Able to assist in the assembly department when required
Required Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment is essential
- Must have the ability to work with tight tolerances and precision requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to stay focused and adapt to different tasks as required.
