Our client, a food-based manufacturer in Telford, is currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be driven and enthusiastic and having experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

The Quality Assurance Technician will work within the assurance department and is responsible for ensuring that products are legal, safe to eat and meet customer specifications through testing and auditing. The successful candidate will work both within the factory and the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generating monthly Quality management review reports & meeting minutes
• Internal audits – factory & laboratory audits, including annual systems audits
• Reviewing raw material specifications, including annual reviews
• Helping to prepare customer-finished product specifications
• Annual updates to quality procedures where/when required
• Supporting the implementation of a new Quality Management System
• Customer complaints – investigating and following up on customer complaints
• Consumer complaints – Trend analysis

The Successful Candidate:

• Be methodical, with meticulous attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy
• Be happy working on their own as well as within a team
• Have the ability to challenge, and see things through
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate to all levels in the business
• Be computer literate
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be useful but not essential, as full training would be provided
