Our client based in the Stourbridge area, are industry specialists in setwork projects working with clients throughout the country, producing project specific installations are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager, ideally from a construction, joinery or shopfitting background to join the team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • The job will involve working from the office and also on- site with the client and the installation team (often in London but can also be in other parts of the country), this can be for varying periods of time, ranging from a day to a week at a time (depending on the project)
  • Responsible for financials and budgets for projects
  • Attending and heading up client meetings
  • Preparing tender documentation
  • Pricing projects, using project software to assist with calculations
  • Lead the team on the project, liaising with design, production, the installation team and the management as and when required
  • Look for areas of improvement, be innovative and creative

The Successful Candidate

  • Have proven experience working within project management within a construction, joinery or shopfitting background
  • Proven experience working within project management dealing with a similar level of responsibilities
  • Previous experience with tender preparation is desirable
  • Proven experience of estimating essential
  • The ability to read drawings
  • Proven experience leading a team and dealing with people at all levels from design, production, management, installation/on-site team and client
  • Flexible approach to work with the ability to work away from home be on site liaising with the client and the installation team
  • Possess tenacity, drive and determination and the ability to work well within a close knit team, supporting other members of the team when required
  • IT literate in Excel, Word, Outlook and project software
  • Experience with AutoCad and SolidWorks desirable
