Our client, based in Rowley Regis, are looking for a Production Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a varied role which will involve setting and running various machinery and working within the company’s production area.

If you are familiar with conventional-style Lathes and milling machines and wish to progress your career within a great local company, then this could be the role for you.

What’s on offer?

• £12.50 per hour (£26,000 per annum) – dependent on experience
• Mon to Fri: 8am – 5pm and Fri: 8am – 2pm (one in four Fridays: 11am – 5pm)
• 40 hours per week, no weekends or shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Varied role within the machine shop and production and assembly areas
• Set and run conventional Lathes – No CNC
• Set and run conventional milling machines – No CNC
• Set/operate power presses (G55’s)
• Set and run Hydraulic presses
• Operate Fly presses
• Operate cropper machine
• Carry out general assembly work
• Drill operations and some chop and band saw operations

The Successful Production Engineer:

• Familiar with old style Lathes, milling machines, power presses, hydraulic presses and fly presses – further training can be provided
• Experience within a similar role
• Able to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
• Flexible approach to work
• Willingness to jump in and help where it’s needed
