Our client, a manufacturer of sustainable packaging materials based in Wednesbury requires a Maintenance Engineer who is mechanically and electrically biased with the ability to also carry out facilities maintenance. The successful maintenance engineer will report to an Engineering Supervisor and the purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the plant and equipment, to ensure productivity levels are maintained.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Undertaking scheduled maintenance
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Maintaining stocks of supplies and equipment
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures and training
  • Maintenance of facilities and grounds

The successful candidate:

  • Experience within a similar role – essential
  • Proven experience handling machine breakdowns and diagnosing faults – essential
  • Facilities Maintenance experience
  • Mechanically and electrically biased with the ability conduct facility maintenance also
  • Previous experience carrying out PPMs
  • Ability to maintain stock supplies and equipment

What’s on offer?

  • 40 Hours per week
  • Production core hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm – Maintenance Engineer is required during these hours and also will need to be flexible to enable pre-planned maintenance to be completed
