HR Advisor

Permanent – Full Time


£30,000 – £32,00 per year

Our client, a manufacturer of sustainable packaging materials based in Wednesbury requires a HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To respond to HR Enquiries in a timely fashion
  • Provide management information and ad hoc reports as and when required
  • Support and guide managers with end-to-end case management for all employee relation cases
  • Actively promote following HR policies and processes and employment legislation
  • Continually review and suggest improvements in the HR systems and processes
  • Undertake research and review policies and procedures
  • Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations
  • Drive HR initiatives and projects such as systems, talent management, OD, resourcing, and organisational change
  • Own or assist on ad-hoc projects
  • Partner with managers to provide advice and training on policies/processes
  • Support delivery of L&D across the site
  • Monitor, analyse and report on absence
  • Deputise the HR Administrator in their absence
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff including overseeing new starters
  • Receive complaints and resolve problems contribute to decisions on reward and promotion
  • Manage and record attendance including timekeeping, sickness, absence and annual leave
  • Promote and follow all Health and Safety guidelines and training

The Successful Candidate:

  • Experience with a similar role is essential – ideally HR Generalist experience
  • CIPD qualified (or working towards)
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in giving advice to support and guide managers
  • Able to commit to working on site
  • Experience dealing with HR initiatives and projects i.e. systems, talent management, OD, resourcing and organisational changes
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring and developing employees
  • Experienced in performance management processes and attendance procedures
  • Prior experience of complaint handling and resolutions
