About:

Our client is a well-established and commercially astute business based in Kingswinford. They are in a modern, well-commutable office with free on-site parking. Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their growing busy team. We are looking for a candidate who has experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Purpose of the role:

To look after the credit control process within an allocated portfolio of clients to ensure the debt is collected, aged debt is minimised, and client enquires are dealt with in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate:

• Self-starter with the ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
• Ideally two years of credit control experience
• Work well in a team
• Knowledge of collaborating with solicitors and bailiffs would be beneficial but is not essential
• Good knowledge of Excel but nothing too advanced (Basic pivots and lookups)
• Good telephone and email manner
• No specific qualifications are required, just a great attitude and proven experience in credit control

Key responsibilities:

• Deal with a high volume of live accounts (eight hundred plus) and liaise with other teams in the business, as well as external bailiffs and solicitors.
• Negotiating payment plans with customers
• Think outside the box and raise issues that you foresee.
• A strong and confident personality
• Ability to liaise with management at all levels
• Any other duties that are delegated by supervisors and credit manager
