We are currently looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join our client’s team, based in Oldbury. If you have experience working with CNC machines and are looking for a new opportunity, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating various CNC machines such as but not limited to: Routers, Waterjet, Laser, Presses
• Understand and interpret technical drawings and CAD files
• Working to a technical drawing/production pack
• Communicating effectively with the Programming department regarding any issues or improvements
• Managing tooling; ensuring all tooling is maintained and organised
• Maintaining clean and safe working environment
• Collaborating with line management and engineering support in any initiative to continuously improve the performance of the shop floor
• Collaborating with other team members to plan and work to timescales
• Independently working and project management

The Successful CNC Setter/Operator

• Knowledge of CNC machines such as 3 axis Routers, Waterjets Laser, Presses
• Previous experience with above listed responsibilities is preferable – Training will be given on more specific machines/programming/software
• General computer skills – for example to access drawings or CAD files
• Use of CAD software; 2D and 3D – Preferred but training will be given
• Foam manufacturing – Preferable but not essential
• Experience managing or supervising a team
