MET Recruitment is excited to be working with a prestigious client in the West Bromwich area. My client is looking for a real all-rounder, someone who is happy to get stuck in with the day-to-day running of the accounts department. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role and you are happy to get stuck in with the team.

Duties of the Bookkeeper:

  • Dealing with sales and purchase invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Verifying hours and calculating overtime and shift payments
  • Processing holiday, sick and maternity pay
  • Preparation and submission of VAT Returns
  • Help to prepare annual accounts
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Being a point of contact for employee questions regarding payroll

Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience in a similar role essential
  • AAT level 3 or qualified by experience
  • A good communicator
  • Experience with stats such as SSP & SMP
  • Ability to work well under pressure

The details:

  • Salary of circa £30,000 – depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
