Key responsibilities of the successful Assistant Manager:
- Ensure all staff are following procedures and processes at all times
- Help control stock integrity on site
- Regulate perpetual line audits
- Ensure running charges are completed in a timely manner and the new process is adhered to
- Promote a professional and positive relationship with suppliers, customers and internal colleagues
- Be flexible to meet the companies needs if required i.e. covering shifts or be at other sites temporarily
- Endorse impeccable housekeeping at all times
- Implement and drive 5S with regular meetings for tracking progress
- Monitor KPI’s and check for regular patterns/issues that can be investigated
- Control bulk/safety stock when required
- Take calls on the duty mobile when needed and make sure all information is extracted
- All processes are followed for any requests made
- Help develop communication between shifts
- Train and monitor the team to make sure all forms are accurately filled in and processed such as accidents, incidents etc
- Laise with the management team
- Provide support and knowledge for special projects
- Keeping systems updated
- Assist the operations manager during the recruitment process
- Conduct staff appraisals
- Conduct RTW
- Cover for the operations manager when required
- Conduct disciplinary when required
The successful Assistant Manager must:
- Be confident and competent using excel
- Maintain a healthy relationship with all concerned
- Remain professional at all times
- Excellent communication skills
