Account Manager
Wednesbury
Permanent – Full time
£32,000 – £35,000 per annum (based on experience)
Our client, a manufacturer of sustainable packaging materials, based in Wednesbury, requires an Account Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate sales experience with commercial acumen and the ability to build relations with current and new customers.

- Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per year – based on experience
- Hours: 40 per week: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with 30 mins lunch
- Based on site in Wednesbury, (potential flexibility with working from home)

Key Responsibilities
- Focus on growing and developing existing clients along with trying to generate new business opportunities
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management issues and matters
- Look to build, create, and maintain long-lasting client relationships
- Ensure that products meet the needs of all customers
- Communicate and feedback with Sales Director and Commercial Manager regarding any issues with customer or customer spend/performance
- Identify areas for improvement with customer base – product range/service, innovative ideas
- Forecast and track account spend and usage figures
- If required prepare appropriate documents to report
- Play an integral role in ensuring existing customers’ needs and expectations are always met
- Undertake training to meet the requirements of the role
- Set objectives and targets for each customer account
- Quote new work using the NERP System
- Support implementing price increases to own and colleagues’ customers
- Work with the admin office to ensure the smooth running of all accounts with schedules, deliveries etc
- Ensure quotations and enquiries are turned around as quickly as possible
- You will be required to be flexible with ad-hoc duties as and when required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within a sales role
- Be commercially aware
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience within a manufacturing environment – advantageous
- Able to use own initiative
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work within a team
