Senior Management Accountant / Finance Manager
Location: Oldbury (Office Based)
Salary: £35,000 – £43,000
Permanent or Temp-to-Perm

Hands-on SME finance role with ownership of the month-end process and management accounts.

We are recruiting for a growing transport and logistics business in Oldbury that is looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant / Finance Manager to support the day-to-day running of the finance function.

This is a broad role within a fast-paced SME environment where you will take responsibility for both financial reporting and transactional finance activities, working closely with senior leadership to provide meaningful financial insight.

The Role

•       Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
•       Ownership of the month-end process
•       Managing purchase and sales ledger activity
•       Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
•       Preparation and submission of VAT returns
•       Cashflow monitoring and forecasting
•       Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
•       Supporting budgets and financial analysis
•       Improving finance processes and controls
•       Working closely with senior stakeholders to support business decisions

About You

•       Experience producing monthly management accounts
•       Comfortable working in a hands-on SME finance role
•       Strong Excel and accounting system experience (Xero advantageous)
•       Experience covering both transactional finance and reporting responsibilities
•       AAT qualified, part-qualified accountant or QBE considered
•       Proactive and organised approach
